| The Present State of Conflict at Goddard

I am writing this to urge you as a body to work together with the faculty, administration and staff at Goddard this weekend. I have kept a close eye on the recent problems facing the school and am dismayed to see the lack of collaborative effort. I do not know what the laws and standards of the school are, but it is very clear that some communication has broken down. The newspaper reports that the work continues to be collaborative around school issues, but this seems to be impossible. Why would there be so many irate faculty? If each of you do not know exactly what this collaboration looks like, you need to find out. I believe that the school needs to maintai fiscal viability. I have personally met Richard Greene and liked him. I know that his background might cause the progressive educators to shudder, but I firmly believe that there needs to be both a conservative financial and progressive educational aspect for Goddard to continue.
I want my school to exist in ten years. I think that the conflict I'm reading about will destroy it. PLEASE THINK ABOUT AND DEFINE CLEARLY THE ROLE OF COLLABORATIVE EFFORT DURING THIS RETREAT.
As a Mediator and Facilitator, I offer you any help I can give. I am leaving my calendar open June 13-15.
