GODDARD HEAD PLANS TO QUIT
The Associated Press
PLAINFIELD -- After a stormy first year in office, Goddard
College President Richard Graham has announced his resignation
effective Aug. 31, 1977.
Graham, attending an out-of-state conference, posted a letter
to the Goddard community this week, saying he could not serve
the prestigious experimental college as well as he had intended.
He said the visions he had for the small private liberal arts
college were not widely shared.
Graham's administration has been stormy at times, especially
during last winter and spring when a number of high level
administrators resigned.
