PLAINFIELD -- the National Labor Relations Board has begun investigating unfair labor practice charges filed against Goddard College.
Authorities say the faculty and administration seem willing to reopen negotiations, however.
The Vermont Federation of Teachers had brought four charges against the college after a major overhaul at the financially beleaguered school this summer.
The union claimed the administration violated the terms of its contract and failed to bargain in good faith.
The college dropped most of its undergraduate staff last summer, but some have since been rehired.
Beverly Ryan, director of the Federation, said the charges will be dropped if the college resumes bargaining.
